![]() ![]() Or how Konrad spoke to me in my demon form in the forest, but didn’t comment on it. Like how I had the same random encounter twice in a row, which made no sense. ![]() You can report these bugs to the developer and he’ll fix them, but even in Spring of 2021, this game is still a bumpy ride. In that respect, she feels extremely different compared to her Angel Inn counterpart.Īlthough the game is complete, it still has numerous bugs. They honestly don’t feel natural since you need to choose dialogue options that make Faylinn act like a whore to get them. Although this game is advertised as an RPG eroge, the sex scenes are few and far between. NSFW content can be disabled on the main menu. Without the grind, the game is barely a 4-hour experience. But that doesn’t change the fact that the default experience is absurdly grindy. Individuals who donated to the developer’s Patreon are able to access a cheat mode and breeze through battles with a maxed out character. The developer has stated the game takes 20-30 hours to complete and I don’t doubt him! The problem is, all that time is spent grinding instead of enjoying the world. It takes four hours just to reach level 20, and every quest important to the main story requires a bunch of level grinding beforehand. For example, which guild do you encourage Sonja to join? While these various decisions might make it seem like the game has significant replay value, the grindy gameplay kills that notion. The game is advertised as having multiple routes and endings, as well as numerous choices that affect the world and its characters. ![]() Eventually she gets a lead on Lucius and visits a new region to continue her search. You still do things in a linear order, one quest after another, but they’re not tied together by a progressing plot. If you’re going to advertise it’s the same world as “Angel Inn“, you shouldn’t retcon the majority of content from that game.įaylinn’s Quest is advertised as a “non-linear experience”, but it’s more accurately described as an “episodic experience”. Normally I wouldn’t make a fuss about continuity between games, but the developer of Faylinn’s Quest has used the continuity as a selling point. There are other references to that game, but they’re pretty minimal since Faylinn is from Angel Inn. However, she is still searching for Lucius the Ritualist in hopes of removing her demon curse.ĭanthienne from Dungeon Dreams appears in this game and mentions the town of Ecallia as well as its magic dungeon, but Faylinn has never heard of it. Her time at the orphanage has been partially retconned, so she was actually hated by the other orphans. Instead, Faylinn is traveling alone and has left your character behind.įaylinn’s demon form is weaker in this game than it was in Angel Inn. Players who enjoyed Angel Inn want to continue their romance with Faylinn. He’s mentioned in dialogue as someone both Faylinn and Rosabella competed to seduce, but that’s it. ![]() You promise to travel the world together, but in this game, he’s nowhere to be found.
